Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko competes as a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter for the UFC's flyweight division. Valentina is her elder sister, as well as a fellow UFC competitor. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sports journey by becoming an Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Miller in the finals by a the unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko took home another medal in 2007 and a bronze medal in 2008, and a gold in the year 2011, and then was named in the position of IFMA Amateur World Muay Thailand Champion in 2016. Antonia began her professional career 2003. She took home the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships in 2012, The Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina was most recently seen battling Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas in The Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by unanimous vote. Antonina Schevchenko set professional MMA records in 2002, when she took on Anara Bazanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She took the win via a second round TKO followed by 2 more fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to earn a 3-0 record. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to focus on her kickboxing, and she returned to the ring in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko won against Anissa with a unanimous vote before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She left in 2018 the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina utilized superior strikes in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the clinch. Antonina Shevchenko was given a UFC Contract after this victory. Antonina Shychenko made her debut in the UFC at the Heavy Hitters event of TUF finals against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the unanimous decision, but she was defeated in her next fight by Roxanne Modafferi on an undisputed split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the fight of the night bonus for the bout. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three bouts, but lost the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina has recently been defeated by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
