Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is a American TV personality who is a chef, and a ex-teacher at the Institute of Culinary Education. She is the host of the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network presenter with her distinctive spiky blonde hair and a pumped up personality reveals easy techniques to master and reduces the fear of eating at restaurants in her show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell was a student and worked in the best New York restaurants. He has also competed in Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. Burrell, who grew up living in New York State's Upstate, began to develop a passion for cooking. Following her graduation with an English and Communications degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she was able to pursue her love of the business of restaurant by enroling in The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent my most memorable time in my life. It was impossible to learn, do or work enough. Following graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. She gained a deeper appreciation of Italian food and culture while in Italy, which has influenced her style of cooking. Burrell has been a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to improve children's lives who are facing difficulties. Burrell is also an Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she advocates for awareness of children with diabetes. She travels frequently around the United States in her position as a mentor as well as a an invited speaker, where she talks about her professional life and the joy of cooking. Anne always felt fortunate that she was able to share her passion that she had for sharing her cooking skills with other people.
